How to Apply Photo Effects in Bulk
If you’ve ever wondered, “How do I put the same filter on multiple pictures?”, you’re in luck. Instead of editing each photo individually, BeFunky’s Batch Photo Editor allows you to apply the same edits to multiple photos at once. This means that you can achieve a consistent look across your entire photo collection within just a few clicks!
The Batch Photo Editor includes both Classic Editor and AI Editor workflows, giving you more creative flexibility when editing in bulk.
The Classic Editor focuses on traditional photo editing and filters – think color adjustments, sharpening, crop and resize tools, plus our entire collection of effects. Classic effects are especially useful when you want a polished, consistent edit across an entire photo collection.
The AI Editor, meanwhile, takes a more advanced and artistic approach. Its tools use AI technology to intelligently analyze and transform your images, helping you create painterly, illustrated, or enhanced looks in seconds. The AI Editor is home to our popular Artsy GFX and GFX+ effects, allowing you to apply them to an entire batch of images in seconds.
Whether you want subtle aesthetic consistency or bold creative results, both editors make it easy to apply the same look across an entire collection. We’ll show you how!
How to Apply Effects to Multiple Photos at Once
Ready to get started? Head to the Photo Editor, then click Batch at the top of the screen. Select either the Classic Editor or AI Editor, depending on the style you want to create.
If you’re aiming for cohesive or subtle aesthetic edits, the Classic Editor is a great place to start. If you want more stylized or artistic transformations, head into the AI Editor instead.
For this tutorial, we’ll be using the Classic Editor.
Step 1: Upload Your Set of Images
Upload your photos by dragging and dropping them into the allocated space. Alternatively, you can click Add Images at the top of the screen and select them from your files.
Step 2: Apply Your Bulk Photo Edits
Once your images have loaded within your batch editor, click Manage Tools to select your editing workflow. Here, you can browse and choose from a wide range of editing tools and photo effects. Simply click on each one to select it and add it to your shortlist on the left.
Select the tool you wish to apply and adjust accordingly. On the right, you can see how the photo effect is being applied across your entire set of images.
When you’re happy with the results, just click Apply Changes. Simply repeat this process for as many tools or effects that you wish to use on your collection.
Step 3: Save Your Edited Set of Images
Click Save All to save your edited batch all at once. Choose your image format, quality, filename, and more. Additionally, you have the option to apply a watermark to your collection of images.
Select Save Images, then click on the file from the Download Images screen that appears. Your images will then download as a single zipped folder, making the workflow much faster and more streamlined than editing individually.
Before and After: Beautiful Edits Applied Instantly
Why spend hours applying the same photo effect to multiple images when the Batch Photo Editor can apply the same edits within just seconds? By adding vibrance, warmer tones, and an Orton effect to this photoshoot, we were able to create a more eye-catching and professional aesthetic in a consistent manner.
Creative Inspiration: Batch Effects to Try
One of the biggest advantages of batch editing is the ability to create a strong visual identity across an entire set of photos. Here are some standout effects from both the Classic and AI Editors that work especially well in bulk.
Winter Effects
Winter effects add cool tones, frosted lighting, and seasonal atmosphere to images.
These effects work especially well for snowy landscapes, holiday photoshoots, winter travel photography, and cozy lifestyle content.
Batch editing is particularly useful here because it helps every image maintain the same cool color palette and seasonal mood.
Watercolor Drawing GFX+
Watercolor Drawing GFX+ transforms photos into painterly artwork with soft textures and layered brushwork.
These effects work especially well for nature photography, portraits, pet photography, and travel images.
Applying this effect in bulk is a great way to turn an entire gallery into a cohesive art series rather than a collection of separate photos.
Chromatic Effects
Chromatic effects enhance photos with rich color grading and bold tonal shifts inspired by modern photography styles. They’re just like Instagram’s most popular photo filters, yet save you from having to edit and upload your photo through the social media site just to achieve the same look.
Chromatic effects are particularly effective when applied across travel photos, fashion shoots, or lifestyle content because they instantly create a recognizable visual mood.
Cartoonizer GFX
Cartoonizer GFX effects use AI to transform photos into playful illustrated artwork with bold outlines and stylized shading.
Applying these effects in bulk creates a fun, unified collection that feels more like a graphic art series than traditional photography.
They work especially well for portraits of all kinds, like pet portraits or family portraits.
Because the AI applies the same illustrative style across every image, the final set feels cohesive without requiring complex manual editing.
Old Photo Effects
Old Photo effects instantly give images a nostalgic, vintage-inspired feel through faded tones, film grain, and aged textures.
Applying these effects in bulk works beautifully for storytelling projects or themed photo collections because it creates the impression that the entire set belongs to the same era.
They’re especially effective for travel photography, architecture shots, family portraits, and historical or editorial-inspired projects.
